G’day there!

Hey hey, it’s…Tuesday? Well, this is different. It seems like I was just on here posting something (I was, on Friday), and now I’m back at it. So this is what it’s like to post more than once a week. Huh. I must admit, it’s a tad newfangled but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. Hopefully.

Anyway, I actually had something more or less written up for today (no, really), but then yesterday I happened to catch a fascinating piece by 21st-century Charlottetown renaissance man Peter Rukavina (clickity-click for a bio). In addition to his professional work, Peter writes on a wide range of topics (some I understand, while others fly sky-high over my head), occasionally delving into matters historical. After reading this particular article, I’ve decided to hold off on what I’d planned and instead I’m directing you over to his site (ruk.ca) where you can check out his recent research into “Charlottetown’s War on Time Uniformity” in the 1950s. The clock’s a-tickin’, so you’d best hurry along!

On a somewhat related note, I haven’t received any submissions for Film Friday this week – egad! – so if you have something you’d like to share, send it my way! Who among you will earn a coveted – though at the moment non-existent – gold star for participation? Will it be you? Or you?

Or maybe…you?

Cheers,

PEI History Guy

P.S. – The best of times…or was it the worst of times? It’s a ‘Dickens’ of a question…

P.P.S. – Get it? Of course you do.
